About Me
Dylan Hirsh is a filmmaker and educator. His work highlightsunique places and people. His work is presented in an accessible manner to foster an appreciation for these subjects. Dylan works full-time as a medical education video producer for WebMD and is currently completing his thesis for his MFA.
Dylan has received recognition for delivery excellence from WebMD. He produced S1E4 of the Medscape InDiscussion podcast, which won the American Society of Business Publication Editors regional bronze award. He directed County Counting, which won Best Documentary at the Mott Haven Film Festival. Dylan’s animated short film Strawberries was selected for screening at the Coney Island Film Festival. His documentary Summit won second place for Best Documentary at the CUNY Film Festival, screened at the Mayfly Film Festival, and is used by the Adirondack Mountain Club for education and outreach. He has also given guest lectures in Columbia University’s digital filmmaking course.
